6 1/2 months has come and gone!

My little monkey (literally she likes to climb all over me) is 6 1/2 months now! She went to the pediatrician last week and is weighing in at a whopping 13 pounds 7 ounces and 25 1/2 inches long! hehe ....We have a long and lean little girl you could say! Dr. Pruitt said she looks great and is growing wonderful! She had lots of smiles for him! We are so thankful to have such an awesome pediatrician for Emma Kate! 

Emma is loving her solid foods more and more each day. She has started to like pears, apples, and....bananas!! The first few times I gave her banana she cried so I was so happy to see her start to like it. She is also liking carrots, sweet potato, and of course her fave avocado!! I hope she is a good eater for me....Brian and I love to cook and are such big eaters so I hope she is following in our footsteps! Emma got to go to the river for the first time and play with Trett! Trett is the new 4 month old of the owners of The Steamery in College Station. There are a few pictures of them in the pack n play! Super cute together! Emma has had some play dates lately and gotten to play and watch other little kiddos! She has so much fun playing with new toys and watching the kids play and mommas talk! Emma will stare right at you while your having a conversation. She is very into people talking and wants to get in on the conversation!

Her precious new teeth, yes her two bottom teeth have come in, are so cute and they make her look like such a big girl! She has been scooting all around for a while and just in the past week she has really started to move her hands in the crawling motion. I can't believe it! She loves to move all around her room and she sits up really well now by herself. She eventually falls to one side but she is working very hard on her balance. She amazes me with her strength. The best thing is her laugh! She laughs so hard and we will just sit there and laugh at each other forever! :) She has also started to fake cough! It is hilarious....she thinks she is telling me something I can tell or when she wants to get my attention she will cough at me and smile!! She is really cracking me up!There are a few pictures of our mother's day celebration with my mom at the Driftwood restaurant and winery we love! Very special mother's day thanks to my wonderful hubby! He really knows how to make me feel special and I love him dearly!

Well Hello Again!!

Wow...I really can't believe I haven't posted since December! Well lots has happened and tons of growing and changing! Miss Emma Kate is getting to be such a big but still little girl and is now going to be 6 months old next Wednesday! She is really getting close to sitting up all by herself and loves to be moving and scooting on her tummy. She has starting to get up on all fours and rock back and forth like she is getting ready to take off! It is hilarious :) She loves a performance! If Brian and I sing and dance and make noises in front of her she can't stop smiling and laughing! It is super cute. She has started to get a tooth coming in and the amount of drool coming out of her mouth amazes me! It doesn't seem to bother her too bad which is great but I think here and there it may be annoying her. Can't believe my baby is getting her first tooth! She is changing all the time and doing something new each week. I am loving spending time with her and playing with her all the time...it is so much fun and so cool to see her grow everyday! She is getting to be quite the chatter box and talks to us all the time! Sometimes if Brian and I are talking she will just be talking too like she is in the conversation. haha

Emma got to go to her first wedding in March! She had a great time and pretty much slept for most of it in my sling, so then we hit the dance floor! Her first Easter was out at the ranch with Brian's family! We had a great time and it was so fun to see Kade and Emma look and react to one another! She recently starting getting a little taste of avocado! She is really enjoying it and it is so cute to watch her eat it! She is also liking sweet potatoes and I'm going to try pears with her soon!I love making her food...it is so fun! A few weekends ago Emma got to go to the Wimberley Pie Social! It was fun and man I couldn't stop eating all the pie! :) Well my little girl is waking up so got to go, but I hope I can continue to post more and not wait another 4 months! I'm going to put some pictures up of the past few months! Sorry it's taken so long! (The first few pictures at the top are some of my favorites from a while ago because she is literally cracking up and I can't stop laughing every time I look at them!!!) She is such a smile bug!!

Wow I can't believe how time is flying. My little princess is going to be 6 weeks old on Wednesday!! She is getting bigger and I think starting to look more and more like me and my baby pictures!! She has really started smiling and looking straight at us with a huge smile. It melts my heart every time. :) We love getting those cute little smirks out of her.

We have been running errands together when the days aren't too cold and she really loves to be in the car as most babies do! She is getting so strong too and loves to try to hold her head up and kick her feet! Little baby exercises! Kathy came to visit us this past weekend and she got to spend some great time with Emma Kate! We made gingerbread cookies and homemade chocolate ice cream! Yummy! It was a fun relaxing weekend.

Last week we got the tree up and decorated the house for Christmas! Love this time of year....Brian and I have been discussing when to do the good ole Christmas shopping. It might be a little trickier this year with our little one. Maybe Brian will volunteer to go get it all done for me one day!! haha we'll see!
